Our Ethos

Bloom in nature is a family run childcare service, owned and managed by three mums who wanted to create a home from home environment with high quality childcare.

Our aim is to provide a happy and safe environment, where children of all cultures and abilities can build their confidence, through participating in daily activities through exploring their talents and interests. Children are able to access the secure garden all year round. They will learn to use their initiative, solve problems, learn about and respect their environment and have lots of fun.

At Bloom in Nature, children will have the very best experiences and their days will be filled with fun, creativity, love and learning. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and use an online system to record daily diaries and observations and work closely with parents to aid their development.

Also good nutrition is very important to us, all our meals are home-made and are packed with lots of fruit and vegetables to ensure the children can be energised and happy all day.

We really enjoy working with children and find the whole experience entirely rewarding, we put in 100% effort at all times and always look forward to starting a new day!

Our two children (aged 2.5 and 1) started with Jannine in Balham and settled in immediately. They love it! Jannine is incredibly welcoming and clearly cares for all the children she looks after. For us, we are so pleased with how much time they spend outside, how flexible Jannine is (term time only, flexible pick up/drop off times) and how much socialising they get. There are more children than at a typical childminder (Jannine had extra pairs of hands to help!) but this is brilliant for us as it means the cosiness and family feel of a childminder but with the benefit of socialising that you get at a nursery. Jannine gives the children lots of opportunities to learn new things and my children come back full of songs they have learnt, numbers/counting, activities (making jam, caterpillar eggs/butterflies, teddy bears picnic trip to the park to name a few!) and are excited to see her each day.

As a first time mother I was quite sceptical about and particular about where and who my child will be spending her time away from me with. Bloom in nature not only provided reassurance but they go above and beyond to ensure your child has the best experience, my daughter started at 15months and has been going for over a year now. She has learnt so much, from social skills to self confidence to learning more than just her ABCs. Her settling in period took longer than contracted but they provided her with the comfort she needed, she runs off as soon as the door is open now! There aren’t like any other childminder. They’re well priced and your child is guaranteed to learn just as much, get all the nutritious meals and have all the fun they need right here.
